ways2work Conference: Thursday 9 February 2012

Time: 08:30 - 14:00

Venue: Microsoft, Cardinal Place, 80-100 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 5JL

Is your business prepared for the new wave of travel disruptions caused by severe weather? Another Eyjafjallajökull? Three million additional journeys in London on the busiest day of the London 2012 Games?

Join us at this free conference, supported by Microsoft, bringing together some of the leading UK companies to share what they are doing to increase their resilience to these and similar events.

The conference is part of the 'Anywhere Working' campaign (to be launched 16 January) to help British employers understand the benefits of providing flexible working environments and to enable employees to access the tools that they need to work in a more flexible way.

You will also have the opportunity to learn what the Government is currently doing to promote higher uptake of alternatives to travel in the UK.

Remote attendance will be offered to delegates around the country.

What will I get out of attending?

  • Insight into the plans for this exiting national campaign, organised by BITC, Microsoft, Nokia, Nuffield, Regus and Vodafone, backed by the Department for Transport
  • Flexible and 'anywhere' working benefits, supported by the Department for Transport
  • Latest information and updates from about the plans for the London 2012 Games
  • Inspirational ideas and examples by companies already achieving benefits from improved business efficiency, reduced costs and emissions
  • Opportunity to network and share experience and best practice
